Nearby attractions

Gdynia is a young harbour city located in the eastern region of Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland. It’s city rights were granted in 1926. It is located in the direct neighbourhood of Baltic Sea, thus it’s development is based on the marine economy since the very beginning. The largest Polish shipyard is placed here. Gdynia is a part of  Tricity conurbation together with two other cities: Sopot and Gdańsk, being considered the most modern of these. It offers wide spectrum of tourist attractions; recreational activities as well as cultural entertainment.

  • The Orłowski Cliff

The Orłowski Cliff is the most charming point of the Polish coast during the autumn time. It is also known as the Eagle Head. It is continuously destroyed by the coastal waves and winds. The cliff is located near a residential district of Gdynia. A walking route runs through the cliff up to the city of Sopot. You can admire the Hel Peninsula from the highest point of the cliff.

  • The Musical Theatre in Gdynia

The Musical Theatre in Gdynia is one of the most excellent institutions of its kind in Poland. It is Gdynia’s cultural flagship. For over 40 years the theatre has presented nearly 300 premieres: musicals, operettas, fairy tales for children, concerts and chamber music performances, among others: "Jesus Christ Superstar", "West Side Story", "Evita" and "Hair."

  • The Stone Mountain District

Stone Mountainis the smallest district of Gdynia located on the moraine hill. The highest point reaches 52 meters. Thereis a platform on a mountain top overlooking the Gdańsk Bay, the marina and main port of Gdynia. The Stone Mountain District is listed in the national registry of monuments.
