Current exhibition

Exposition in the NMFRI Gdynia Aquarium is organised into museum exhibits and living flora and fauna. Animals in freshwater and seawater aquariums come from four habitats: coral reefs, open ocean waters, Amazonia and the Baltic Sea.


The NMFRI Gdynia Aquarium houses more than 1,500 animals.


  • Amazon

is a part of the exhibition devoted to the inhabitants of large rivers in South America. Here, inter alia, we can find green anaconda, stingrays and red piranhas.


  • The Aquatic Animals of The World

introduces residents of warm and cold waters of the Atlantic. In this part of the exhibition, visitors can see, among other things, octopuses, sturgeons, sharks and moray eels.


  • Coral Reef

presents the largest living coral reef exhibition in Poland.


  • At the Border of Water and Land

here we can find fish and reptiles originating from Africa and South-East Asia.


  • Water Room

is a place where visitors can touch Baltic fish.   


  • Education Chamber

shows a collection of fish, reptiles, birds and sea mammals models. There is also a wall exposition that presents marine fishing techniques, as well as the anatomy, morphology and ecology of animals. 


  • The Baltic Sea

includes exhibitions: “Baltic yesterday and today "," Save our Baltic" and "Flora and Fauna of the Baltic Sea" which show the history, the beauty and the wealth of the Baltic. 


  • Gallery

is where visitors to can admire permanent exhibition of coins from the most distant parts of the world and abundant collection of shells. Special weekend events take place here.
